1. Acceptance
By downloading, accessing, or using Taqwa+, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. The Taqwa+ service
Taqwa+ provides tools intended to support Islamic practice and learning, including Quran reading and audio, prayer times and Qibla, Hadith and Duas, and access to educational lectures and related library content. Features may change over time as we improve the product.
3. Accounts and authentication
You may use many features without an account. Creating an account is optional and enables sync of certain data across devices. Available sign-in methods may include email and password, Sign in with Apple, and Google Sign-In.
You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate account information
- Keeping your credentials and devices secure
- Activity that occurs under your account
Accounts are not automatically linked across different authentication methods that share an email address. Use the sign-in method associated with your existing account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Misuse, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to Taqwa+ or its systems
- Abuse authentication, rate limits, or APIs
- Upload or transmit malware or harmful content through any feature that accepts input
- Scrape, overload, or reverse engineer the service except where permitted by law
- Use Taqwa+ for unlawful, harassing, or fraudulent purposes
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation in a way that harms others or the service
5. Quran and Islamic educational content
Taqwa+ presents Quran text, translations, Hadith, Duas, and related educational material for personal learning and worship support. Content is provided for informational and educational purposes. It is not a substitute for qualified scholarly guidance on complex religious questions.
Recitation audio may come from bundled sources, first-party hosted recordings, or authorized remote sources depending on the reciter and configuration.
6. Scholar, lecture, and media content
Library content (such as scholars, lectures, videos, and books) may be published through our catalog and delivered via our API and media storage. Availability can vary by region, catalog updates, or network conditions. Some items may be marked for development or limited distribution.
7. Intellectual property
Taqwa+, its branding, software, and original materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
Third-party texts, recitations, fonts, images, and media remain the property of their respective rights holders and are used under applicable licenses or permissions. You may not redistribute app media or datasets except as allowed by those rights and by law.
8. Third-party services and content
Taqwa+ may integrate or rely on third parties such as Apple, Google, hosting providers, media storage, payment processors, and remote audio sources. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.
9. Donations and payments
Taqwa+ may offer voluntary donations to support the project. Donations are processed by third-party payment providers. Unless required by law or expressly stated at checkout, donations are generally non-refundable. Donation flows and currencies may change.
10. Availability
We aim to keep Taqwa+ reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Network outages, maintenance, device limitations, or upstream media sources may affect features such as streaming, sync, notifications, or catalog browsing. Offline capabilities for bundled content may still work when the network is unavailable. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with or without notice as the product evolves.
11. Suspension, termination, and deletion
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk to the service or other users, or if required by law. You may stop using Taqwa+ at any time.
You may delete your Taqwa+ account through the app where that feature is supported, or request deletion by contacting support@taqwaapp.com.co. Account deletion removes your account and associated user-owned cloud data as described in the Privacy Policy, subject to necessary legal, security, and financial retention requirements. Local device data is not automatically wiped by account deletion. Shared public catalog content remains available to other users.
12. Disclaimers
Taqwa+ is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, except where such disclaimers are not allowed.
Prayer times and Qibla direction depend on location, calculation settings, device sensors, and third-party algorithms. Treat them as helpful estimates and verify critical timings with a trusted local source when needed.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Taqwa+ and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the service.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for claims relating to Taqwa+ will not exceed the amounts you paid to us for the service in the twelve months before the claim (if any). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, the limitations apply to the maximum extent permitted.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date will be updated when changes are published. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
